Many people struggle with abdominal discomfort and/or pain, spastic colon (spastic contractions of the colon), bloating, gas, diarrhea, and constipation. One of the primary sources for these symptoms is over acidity condition in the body particularly worsened by the consumption of gluten. Now, one must realize with GE (Genetic Engineering), that wheat and rice are more commonly GMOs (Genetically Modified Organisms) and unfortunately, particularly wheat.

Wheat, back in the Roman days was a high protein grain. Over the centuries, in order to make bread rise and be fluffy, they have been hybradized from various different types of grains to arrive at modern day wheat which has a high content of gluten which results in super fluffy breads. Now comes Genetic Engineering and the created creature which is neither a plant nor an animal is called GMO wheat. Now, the glutent factor of a GMO wheat is 500 times greater than the older hybridized wheat. This is one of the reasons why 4-5 years ago, you hardly heard of anybody being allergic to wheat and gluten and all of the sudden, it has become a common issue. When you look at wheat in America being 500X more gluten than the previous type wheat, it is no wonder that we literally have an epidemic of wheat and gluten allergies.

If you are suffering from indigestion, discomfort and/or pain, spastic colon (spastic contractions of the colon), bloating, gas, diarrhea, and constipation, one of the simplest things to do is discontinue eating wheat and most importantly start taking non-GMO probiotics. See how you feel in two or three weeks. Remember, since we don't have any labeling laws in America, many probiotics are genetically engineered and they don't have to tell you so. Genetically Engineered microorganisms are bad because they are not natural and are man made. Their production of sugars, starches, enzymes, and proteins are bizarre forms that have never, ever been seen on this planet. Very little is known and hardly any testing has been done. So while GMOs are being sold abundantly, this does not in the slightest mean that they are safe. On the subject of microorganisms and food, did you know that almost all of the beers made in this country and brewer's yeast sold are Genetically Engineered or Genetically Enginered Contaminated? As a matter of fact, the only non-GMO yeast that is available on Planet Earth is Lewis' Labs Brewer's Yeast. There are no other known sources that are commonly available.


Many of the lactobaccilus probiotics that are being sold are GMOs. Unfortunately, those which are not do not label it so and those which do probably won't admit it. So as a consumer, you are basically stuck. Fortunately, I do carry two products that are multi-family, multi-specie probiotics that are definitely not Genetically Modified. Most American commercially made pickles simply pour petroleum based white vinegar onto the vegetables to make them into pickles. One of the things I do just to gross people out is ask them to take those wax peppers that usually come with Greek salads and leave them on a corner of their lawn and watch them for several months. Don't be surprised if no ants or animals touch them and the shocker is that 6 months down the road, the wax peppers will still be there looking as fresh as the day that you put them down. Now tell me how in the world could that possibly be digested in my stomach? And certainly, don't ask what other bad side effects could arrive from a pickle that doesn't decay.

German sauerkraut and kosher pickles are very easy to make and you should simply go online or to a bookstore and grab a pickle making book. There are hundreds of them and pickling is truly simple. All one does is grate a cabbage into a large bowl, add salt and spices, mix together the cabbage and spices, pack it tight in a pickling jar and make sure that the brine water covers it up. Of course, there are many choices of spices to make hundreds of flavors.
